I think there are plenty of other options that would yield better results for around $109. If you're looking to get a good amount of bass for HT and are wanting to stick with a 15 the Exodus Audio DPL-15 would be a good choice for about $30 more. I think you'd have SUBSTANTIALLY better results with that driver over the MA driver.
It would work in 5 cu.ft tuned to 21 hz. The model is shown with a Bash 300 watt amp which would take the sub to its limits. Porting would have to be two 4 inch round ports 28" long each to keep the air speed down. Or a slot port.
been playn with bb6p came up with these #s
vent is 2x10x30
i can put this togethere with bash 300 for about 200ish so the question is.. how much better this would be than my old dahlquist cienima series 12" supposedly 400watt, but i bought it back in the day when they didnt even list RMS so im not sure what exactly it is prolly around 100rms just a geuss though. i recently bottomed it out i think is the right word, was watching mission impossible 3 and it made a loud clink so it no longer keep up with my newer speakers ive recently been buyn so thats why im tryn to upgrade
ok 2 more question then im gonna get shopping haha when i make the slot vent, how far from the back wall does it need to be if its not gonna run down the back wall? also how far away does the vent have to be from the woofer and the plate amp?
and of course i have will have to post up pix everybody luvs the sub build pornz even if they are cheap ones haha! least i know i do.
well i won woot woot and sub/amp should be on their ways tomorrow i hope. is there a certain shape i should make my box or will 33x17x20.5 with a 2x8x16 vent work just fine? also how much polyfil should i be using in this?
