Jugix, what frequency was that taken at? Just a movie or music, or a test tone?

It was The incredibles movie. Where spacecraft takes off and kids run for cover. Strong signal across 5Hz to 40Hz. It was not intended max-SPL measurement. Just took my meter with me while I watched the movie. Could have gotten 1-1,5 dB more... at least it seemed there were linear excursion left.

Would it be alright to just run two free ends on each port? In WinISD it says that the Port Velocity is the same when I go from two free ends, to one flanged end, to two flanged ends.

Of course velocity is the same. Ports affect wind turbulence.

What would make a 18" sub driver less "musical" than a 12" or 10"? Or, what would make the others be more musical over the 18" driver?

1) Define: Musical.

2) Define: Musical in 10Hz - 80Hz.

I have another WinISD question.
If you have two drivers, and the box is let's say 10 cu.ft, could you just make two 5 cu.ft boxes and have the same performance as it shows in WinISD?

One big box with 2 drivers:
+ Drivers are close and are considered to be coherent. +6dB gain.
- Both drivers in same location and are affected by same room modes.

Two smaller boxes:
+ More even FR.
- Drivers are far apart and considered to be uncoherent. +3dB gain.
