I have the 42 in lcd tv mag 42mf337b that has no picture. The backlight is on and I have sound, but no picture or displays. I have replaced the t-con board to no avail. I am a novice with this type of thing, but I do build computers, this tv confuses me. Are there any ideas? Thanks guys.

Sorry I missed your post until now.

What led you to replace the T-Con? Have you done any testing or troubleshooting?

Thanks for asking. When it happened, I asked around town here and looked on the net, and everything pointed to the t-con board. (no pic but has sound and can change channels.) I don't know anything about testing the tcon, or anything else. If you have any ideas, they will be greatly appreciated.

One would look at the signal coming from the main board to the t-con with a scope and if it is there it would be a pretty good indicator of a bad t-con. If it is not probably the main board. Sometimes a good tech can repair at the component level as opposed to a board.
