MFW rehab

So my MFW started to die on me, the amp has been huming and hawing for a couple months now. Many people say to use the V3 amp and all will be good, and I cannot use the Bash 300 amp because of improper "EQ". I know there is options out there such as the Turbo, F20 horn, etc but has anybody had any experience with using a different amp for this sub? How about a different driver?

I don't see why the Bash 300 or 500 can't be used. The driver parameters are known as well as the box volume and tuning frequency, with the prper HPF and boost applied either amp would work in my opinion.
why reinvent the wheel the V3s are bulletproof and have proper driver control, eq, and limiting for that design.

Go ahead put a bash 300-500 outboard because it won't fit the amp cavity, it will make noise.

Your prob looking to save a few dollars, but this ground has already been plowed. if you don't add eq to an off the shelf amp your results will be inferior.
Only reason is that shipping to Canada for the v3 amp is over half the cost of the amp:(

Oh gotcha, in that case you could use the bash300 and BFD to EQ it to the room and get better results anyways for about the same price as the V3......

Does PE ship to Canada without a major surcharge?

Eek, no Parts Express is pretty expensive for shipping/duty charges to Canada...but CSS is in Canada and carries the bash300 I believe....
