I am just wrapping up the design on a subwoofer build for my brother. I decided to go with a Dayton Audio RSS390-HF in a 9.65ft3 ported box tuned to 15.6hz. I was planning on using a BASH500 amplifier but I need to modify the amp's HP filter. Any suggestions on what to set it to and the proper resistors to change out? Thanks

Nope I'm defiantly not worried about voiding the warranty. There has been a lot of confusion to what the actual HP filter is on the BASH amps being shipped out. I will be ordering the amp from CSS here in Canada and they actually will modify the amp to your specification before they ship it out so I am less worried about what the actual stock amp is and more with what I would ideally need for this exact project.

Bob at CSS just supplied me with the current BASH500 manual and is contacting PE to see what the stock HP the amp is shipping with. I will post that information here once I receive it for anyone else who might be interested.

In the meantime I was thinking of modifying the amp to the following specifications:
2db of Boost
Boost Frequency: 20-24hz
Filter Fc: 16.2
Filter Q: 1.1

I will shrink the size of the enclosure to approximately 9.0ft3 and raise the tuning to 16.2hz? I'm still looking for confirmation on the tuning frequency and the HP (Fc) rolloff. I don't want to damage the woofer.

After reading about LLT enclosures I'm starting to think that maybe the best option is the 1db of boost with a Fc of 13.9. If I tune the box low enough a HP filter is not required. I could probably tune the box to 15hz or below.
