Yup, that works. In the future when you upgrade the amp it will need a hi pass filter at 18 hz, assuming a power input of 500 watts.

I was thinking of a BASH 500 in the future.
why the need for the HP filter with that much power vs no filter and my 200watt Rotel?

This is the cone excursion of your sub. Yellow is 200 watts with no hi pass filter. The sub will start to bottom out at about 15 hz. As long as you go easy with the Rotel you'll be fine. Green is with 500 watts and a hi pass filter at 18 hz. Without one the sub will start bottoming out around 17 hz where there is a lot of low frequency information on DVD's.

I hooked everything up last night for a test run and it souned really good with movies, It wasn't the best with music but thats ok it was built for home theatre!!
