Oh yeah! What's not to like about fall? Football on Saturday/Sunday and we can open the windows and shut off the A/C. Nothing like a cool breeze of air flowing through the house while kicked back. Let the men gather and go M-I-Z-Z-O-U and home of the Chiefs. :)

Time Warner Cable so whatever they show is what I get. As long as I can watch the Chiefs I'm happy. I gave up the Sunday Ticket when I left the service and returned to my home state.

I just found out that you can get Sunday Ticket without DirecTV via the playstation. Per the link,

"PS3 owners without access to DIRECTV will also be able to receive NFL Sunday Ticket and live stream every out-of-market NFL football game this season for $299.95"

Personally, I never used Sunday Ticket so for me, I see my local team via antenna which is good for me. :)

yes. I am Ready for some Football!!!!!

I get the Sunday ticket each year and now that it's 200 dollars makes it even better.

Are any NFL games in 3d? Just curious. I don't have 3d tv but if it is available for those who have 3d, it must be impressive, right?

I think I read something about Verizon doing a 3d preseason game not 100% sure ..but personally I don't think I could wear those glasses for an entire game I think 116inches is close enough for me

I agree wearing the 3d glasses for several hours would take some getting used to. :)

But, I am sure it must look very impressive in 3d!

I have always wanted to get Sunday Ticket as I am a Saints fan located in WI, but I have a hard time paying for that because it makes me feel like I have to be home every Sunday to take full advantage of it.

That is REALLY hard to do with 3 kids.

And, no, I did not become a Saints fan recently - been on board since 1982! I so remember the bags on the heads....... :heehee:

I have a 3yr old and a newborn(waiting to come home) that's why I take my daughter to the park Saturday and in the morning Sunday ..and I justify it by 1 having people over for the games with little ones and 2 telling the wife think about how much it will save over a full season not having to go to a sports bar and spending money on food and gas ..

These NFL refs are terrible ..hopefully the old refs get back soon
I agree. The replacement officials are not the same replacement refs that were seen years ago in the last lockout with refs. This time, the replacement refs are from small college conferences and/or from arena football. None have the experience that the replacement refs years ago had.

These guys were caught marking off incorrect yardage, missing turnovers, and causing extreme delays in a lot of games.

The NFL needs to come back to reality and deal with the four issues..

1. retirement benefits - they all agreed as one and now the nfl wants to back-out..

The above is only reasonable if the nfl is not doing well. But, the league netted about $9 billion in revenue last year, and the average team is worth $1.1 billion so hard for them to justify backing out of the retirement benefits agreed by all when the contracts were signed years ago.

2. Salary - 150,000 per year for Ref currently. The Ref's want more considering they spend a lot of time in the off season reviewing plays and learning new rules.. The NFL will give little bit more but not much as they want.

3. Number of refs - Currently, there are 17 officiating crews – one for each possible game per week, plus one alternate. The NFL wants to add three, bringing the total to 20 crews and 140 referees.

4. Full time vs Part time - Currently all the refs are part time. They do other jobs outside of NFL games. The NFL wants to make them Full time. This would not allow them to work for outside companies.

It will be interesting to see how long this plays out.
