No Power Blinking Red Light 57H82

Hello all. Attempting to repair a Toshiba rear projection model 57H82. TV has been working perfectly for about 10 years. One morning after working perfectly fine the previous night, I turned on the TV and no sound or picture other than the surging pop sound you hear in the speakers when you first turn on the set. LED next to the power button comes on steady at first for a few seconds then it starts to blink. There is no discernible pattern to the blinking LED, just a steady blink about every second or so. Any help would be appreciated.
