Hi,

I setup my speaker, just about to wire it up and listen to it for the first time but....

The wires coming out of the o-audio 300W amp are silver and gold that are meant to go to the speaker. Which out of these two are positive? I need to know the polarity so I can wire up the speaker. The wire doesnt have + / - markings on it.

I would go with the gold but you can tell the phase by watching the sub. When you get a bass note or explosion watch to see if the woofer is moving out first or inward first. You would normally want you sub and main speakers to act the same or be in phase. You will also notice that one way will produce good bass and the other probably will not.

No, Just make sure the volume or gain is not too high and you will be fine.

Hi! I did read the manual and Mike P is correct. O-audio did reply to me and confirmed that gold is positive and silver is negative. Apparently it's marked on the board but i couldn't make out any markings.

Hope this can help someone else out.
