Hi guys,
I am planning for a AVR with Atmos. After the retailers suggestions and couple of friends reference I finalized on either one of these 2.
Just need some more info from you guys nad your views about both the products.
As per their Product info,

Marantz SR7009 has
Power Output (8 Ohm) 125W (0.08% @ 8 Ohm)
http://us.marantz.com/us/Products/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?CatId=AVReceivers&ProductId=SR7009

Onkyo TX-NR1030 has
Power Output: 185 W/Ch (6 Ohms, 1 kHz, 1% THD, 1 Channel Driven, IEC);
230 W/Ch (6 Ohms, 1 kHz, 1 Channel Driven, JEITA)
http://www.onkyoindia.com/av_rec-txnr1030.html

Does this mean Onkyo is better than Marantz ?
Can I finalize on Onlyo for the purchase ? They both cost almost the same in my country.

Please help me out to finalize :)
Cheers,
Aditya

I would go for the Marantz. It has the better eq which is audyssey XT32 vs Onkyo which has their proprietary accueq which is bland.
Now Marantz does not have the dts x available nor hdcp 2.2 for Uhd players. The Onkyo has hdcp 2.2 and no dts x either.
I think the Onkyo will have more power. I think it's up to you in what you are looking for in features. If you don't care about not having 2.2 I would go for the Marantz simply because of the XT32.
