P50V701 Black Screen At Power Up

My wife and I were watching TV one night and all of a sudden the screen went black and the blue LED on the front flashed 3 times after unplugging and plugging back in. I did some research and found 2 swollen capacitors. I replaced both of the capacitors on the power supply board. Plugged the TV in and still wouldn't turn on. I replaced the the SDR-U and SDR-D boards and the TV makes a clicking sound but it seems to me it doesn't have enough power to keep itself on. The screen stays black and I have nothing for sound. The blue LED stays blue and does not flash. The only way I can turn the TV off is by holding down the power button for 3 seconds on the television itself. The blue LED changes to a solid red after. Does this mean there is something wrong with the power supply? I hate to throw something away that cant be fixed. Our only TV repair shop just closed a year ago meaning the closest to me would be 1 hour away. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have not gotten this fixed. I really do not know what else to do or what to look for. I changed the capacitors and tried to replace the SDR boards, as I was having similar problems to others on this board and thought it would fix it. The blue leds do not flash anymore but the screen is still black.
Does the clicking sound happen a 1-2 seconds after you power the TV on? If so may have a power supply failure beyond the usual (2 cap) suspects. This will require you to repair or replace the power supply unit. If you had to pick one of the two then replacing the PSU is the way to go unless you are really good at component level repairs.

Even though Hitachi is out of the TV making business, finding a new PSU unit should be hard if you know where to look.
This is the part where you have to weight your time vs your money in deciding if you want to repair the old tv or getting a newer model (with a square trade warranty for sure). The repair can cost a pretty penny if you send it in for repairs or it can drive you mad if you try to diagnose it yourself. All the while you're with a Telly and the Mrs. is getting impatient. :)
Why are we assuming power supply?

If it's not the power supply I do not know what else it could be. When I plug the TV into the wall the LED turns red and the TV screen is black with no sound.

3-5 seconds later the LED turns blue (does not blink) the TV hums like a motor is spinning and than the TV clicks and the hum stops. The LED on the front of TV remains blue until I hold the power button on the front of the TV and than the LED turns back to a solid red.

Its like it wants to turn on but it cant hold enough power to keep it on. I found a power supply board but I want to know if this is something that needs to be replaced. Remember I replaced both SDR boards and the swollen capacitors.

You're right, my wife has been nagging me to fix this TV and right now I am at a loss. I usually can figure this stuff out, but man this is frustrating. The sad thing is, I LIKE MY HITACHI! Have any of you ran into something like this before?
Anyone know where I can find a new power supply board? Seems they are all sold out or out of stock online. Any help would be appreciated.
