First off thanks in advance for help. I just built a new pc and would like to use it in my home theater. Its currently connected through my Yamaha AVR into the LG. Its fine for 1080 and HD audio but struggles with 4k. I believe the PC is a GIGABYTE H97N WIFI intel based platform. The LG uf7700 and the Yamaha RX A3040 as well as the PC are using HDMI for switching.

So you're using the integrated gfx on the MoBo/CPU? Have you considered installing outboard graphics card? Having the extra/dedicated RAM and processing power might take care of the 4K issue.

I thought about dedicated graphics solutions but opted for small form factor so not many options for dual HDMI low profile pci-express video cards that will fit. My next step is to run one HDMI out from the PC for audio to the Yamaha and use the second HDMI out for video to the LG and use the LG for switching between sources.
