Yes, I own a 15 year old Pioneer Pro-97...as part of a built-in system that was "State of the Art" in 1995. Anyhow, I have been contemplating and researching a complete new generation of components for a full conversion (including new cabinetry, etc).

Just trying to limp thru with Pioneer Pro-97...and suddenly yesterday the POWER (On/Off) has failed. I get a momentary click(s)...and it seems to "short" off...and will not power up.

Is there any potential "quick fixes" (i.e. fuses) that might be available or any ideas..

Please respond, if anyone has any potential short-term options.

Thanx

A Pro97 could have lots of possibilities. First to check with a pioneer is for bad solder joints. Vertical outputs, convergence outputs, bad capacitors, HV protection circuit...just a few possibilities.
