I was given a Samsung PCN5425R 54" RPTV because the convergence was out among other things. I ordered a new convergence board and replaced the old one. I then ordered the coolant and changed the blue and green. After replacing the CB it told me no sensor data when in the convergence service menu and I could not get the grid lined up. Perfect Focus would only go to 16% and then stop. That is when I noticed that the blue did not look right so I checked it and ordered new coolant.

Well I guess I hit the wrong button somewhere because now I don't have a picture! I have audio but no picture! I can get the regular service menu to come up by pressing mute, 1, 8, 2, power from standby and get the consumer menu to come up when the power is on but when I press mute, 1, 8, 3 to get to the convergence service menu I don't get anything. I've tried pressing the buttons for the menu and then 5-545 which if I understand correctly should reset it to factory but I get nothing! Perfect Focus does nothing and I'm left with sound but no picture!

Is there a secret factory reset on this TV or a trick someone can tell me to get it back working? Is there something else wrong with it that I need to check? PLEASE I need all the help I can get I'm at the end of my rope with it! I've checked all of the wires I even touched and everything is where it should be! It does look like the picture tries to come on when I first turn it on!

When you replaced the board and coolant, you likely changed the position of the image or the size. You are likely missing a sensor with the patterns at the edges. You need to manually center and size the image appropriately. The detail may be in the service manual for alignment or it may be in a separate training manual, I do not recall.

I have the service manual but could not find any training manual. I guess my biggest problem is going to be getting a pattern to do since none of the convergence patterns show up! I will search and see what I can find! Thank You!!!

What do you get when you go into the convergence mode in the service menu?

A blank screen, the menu will not come up and neither does the grid. It's completely blank. I've searched for training manuals with no luck, do you know where I can find them for a tv this old?

This is in the service mode for convergence or the consumer menu? I know you said the former but just verifying. I would be looking for a connection missed or a cracked solder connection. When you service anyting you have to be aware that moving boards can create other issues like lossening connectors and breaking weak joints.

Yes it's in the convergence service menu! All the other menus come up but not that one!

Look for bad connections at the convergence generator.

I just noticed that my power LED light flashes 9 times when I turn the set on does that give a clue to what the problem is? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I have also noticed that the green isn't the same size as the blue and red, is that normal? How do I check the CG MDL it is enclosed in a box? I can unplug the convergence amp and the red, green and blue lines at the top warp and so far I haven't found any bad connections.
