I created this sheet to calculate working box volume, panel cut dimensions and other odds and ends. You may find it useful if you want to build a:

  • Ported design
  • Top or bottom firing port (usually mandated by LLT principles and small box footprint)
  • Simple rectangular box
  • Single forward firing driver

Ok, so this is a very narrowly defined audience, but others may find it useful as a starting point.

Also of note, I found Zoho to be a superior online spreadsheet app compared to GoogleDocs.

I hope someone else can leverage the 3 or so hours I put into creating this .

PS Please let me know if you find any bugs in my equations !

Cool. I'm glad you found it useful. I'm totally open for ideas to make it more generic/robust. I doubt the world needs yet another subwoofer calculation tool, but I couldn't find an existing one that did just what I needed.
