I would suggest that you use the chips that are in the set rather than the STK394-160. Several techs have reported problems with that substitution in some of the panasonic sets.

They may work fine, but I have been hearing of some panasonic sets that don't. Better to not take a chance.

Panasonic manuals can be a challenge because of the silly system they use to distribute them. Be aware that many of the online sellers of manuals may not have the complete manual in their files. You can find some sources in the sticky here:

I have never seen a set that did not need convergence at the service level. It is unlikely that anyone will be able to sort out the service mode in a panasonic without the manual. Some may be willing to live with the minor, sometimes major, convergence errors that will be present, but I strongly suggest that anyone repairing their own set understand how to properly adjust it.
