Hello,

I am new here. This seems like the right place to look for an answer.
I have a Yamaha RX-V565. I have been trying to hook up a QSC-DCA3022 to the Yamaha Preout and my Soundsplinter RL-P15 Dual2Ohm (I have the sub in Series and Parallel at 4Ohms I guess).

The Receiver's preout is just an RCA connector and the Amp has the option of (balanced(impedance of 20Kohm) and unbalanced(impedance of 10Kohm) "Euro-style terminal block", XLR, and 1/4-inch TRS jacks wired in parallel to the terminal block input.

To be perfectly honest this is close to being another language for me. The extent of my knowledge is in car audio... and that is also very limited.

I tried to make an unbalance RCA ---> terminal block cable (its got three wires) 1. Neg 2. Pos 3.Jumper from #2. To keep thing simple I didn't do Bridge Mono, The jumpers on the QSC are set to; Clip Limiter = on, LF Filter = off, Stereo Input = on, Bridge Mode = off. The gain on the amp is set to half way. I got not sound. When I set the gain to full, I get a little hum from the sub. Other than that, I can not get the Sub to reproduce any bass.

Thanks for reading.

Well, after a few hours of troubleshooting I figured out that it was a combination of the HDMI drivers on my computer and the Receiver Pre-out setting. It is working quite well, Transformers sounds great. Thanks guys.
