Discussion Starter #1 (Edited)
Hi. In our new home, the previous owner had run speaker cable from the utility room to the TV area and in the ceiling for surround sound speakers. So I plan to install my AVR in the utility room with my Roku, Bluray and maybe others.

I have to figure out the following:

  1. How to get the video to the TV (wireless transmitter?)
  2. How to get audio to the subwoofer (unless I position my sub on the other side of the room opposite the utility room)
  3. How to send commands to the components in the utility room
Can someone help me with any of these tasks I'm about to research?

Thank you!
Joel

Regarding question 1, you may want to look at an HDBaseT Extender kit to run video a long distance. I usually get my extenders from this place, they've been good to me https://bzbexpress.com/Audio-Video-Extenders/

You'll probably run into connectivity issues with wireless, depending on the obstructions, especially if you have to go thru walls.
