Raised and living in Upstate NY

From Binghamton, NY actually. I've always been interested in electronics, I started out messing with computers when I was 10 (Im 29yrs old now). Building websites and graphic design were part time employment/hobbies into my early twenties.

Currently I am employed as a field technician for a cable company. I do mostly troubleshooting/networking/computer related calls but be sure I can run a cable or two.
--On a side note if anyone has any questions about:
----Dealing with a cable company.
----Running your own coaxial cable.
----Adding splitters or amplifiers.
----Or anything really.

Basically I was drawn to this forum just as a curiosity. It has been really interesting/informative reading everyone's posts. This lead me to thinking about building a DIY sub as a learning experience, which is why I decided to register.
