I'm sorry I don't have a picture to post. This seemed to be the thread to introduce oneself, so I am doing that.

First let me say "Happy Easter" to all!

My interest in this forum runs mainly to the audio side of things. I have been an audiophile for 40 years and I still enjoy the search for the "perfect sound" from an audio system--even though I now know that such a thing does not exist! Recently, as part of a change of profession, I find it necessary to learn about determining room acoustics more precisely and this lead me to your REW program. I am collecting the gear necessary to use the program properly and hope to set up a simple recording area (not really a studio) for a friend to record some of his work for his own archival purposes.

A friend who works at the local library and has a massive (this is not an exaggeration) collection of films on laserdisc, VHS, and DVD has taken the Blue Ray plunge. He speaks highly of a properly remastered film on Blue Ray and tells me the sonic quality is exceptional. So, I may have to look at a more serious video setup now.

That's about it. I'll be monitoring the site as I try to learn the REW program.
