I have a UMC-200, UMIK-1 and a mac I am using to try to eq my system. As it is doing a sweep for measuring I am getting a popping sound. What am I doing wrong. How do I get rid of that to get a good measurement?

I have the mode set to direct and the eq set to flat on the UMC when I am doing measurements. Is that correct?

I am not a REW newbie but yes using JRiver Media Center (for DSP) and an ADAT (DAC) for I/O. I too get some pops during sweeps. I suspect it is glitches in the cpu trying to keep up with the signal processing. Does your "pop" or click sound always happen at the same places in the sweep (or other sound) or like me, is it usually more or less random? If unpredicable, it is 99 44/100% certain :) that the issue is the CPU getting bogged down. This is not unusual especially if using low-end PC (like Intel Atom, mine is just an electron [joke] ); try running less apps, etc.
