Hi :)

I'm new to REW and have a quick question.

I have got myself a MiniDSP OpenDRC-DA8 and an 8-channel amplifier which I will be using with an upcoming 3-way dipole + sealed subwoofer project. For now, I have a 2 way DIY transmission line to test with and get familiar with MiniDSP, REW and RePhase.

For my upcoming project, I will be using BG Neo3 and Neo8 drivers and my question is:

Is REW able to disable all other system sounds while running? Or is the solution to run them only with a crossover in the MiniDSP software?

It would ruin my day if some random Windows system sound/pop-up would blast through while running one of the planar drivers almost unfiltered doing measurements in REW.

Thank you!

No, REW can't control anything else happening on the PC (a Java restriction rather than an REW restriction), but if you have the Windows default audio device set to something other than the interface you are using to measure with you won't get anything else coming through.

Hi John,

Thank you for your answer.

Isn't REW using the Windows default audio device?

CheVolume or Audio Router are also possibilities, I guess.
