I have a Samsung PCL5415R RPTV. There is a convergence problem. My question is I have researched this and found 2 repair options. One is replacing stk ic's and the other is sub deflection board. My funds are very limited so I would really appreciate an expert to help clarify this repair. My abilities are sufficient to do this repair, but want to make sure I do the correct one. It seems the red color has gone hay wire. Ghosting really bad. Started on sides and has been creeping towards center to the point we can stand to watch it. Any response will be greatly appreciated. Great site by the way!!!

Thanks in Advance

Your post has been moved to the Samsung forum to maintain forum organization and make information easier to find.

Read the first ten posts of the convergence sticky very carefully:

I never replace the board, just the ICs, any open fuses, and any open or damaged resistors.

Be sure to buy the parts from a reliable vendors such as those suggested in the sticky.
