I decided to repaint my screen last night and as it was drying I noticed it starting to have a crackle finish..I'm using the same paint and the same technique, yet this time the whole screen has a crackle finish to it..Do you know what could cause this??

Was the paint thicker than before as it went on? If the can was not closed properly and some of the water evaporated the consistency could have changed and basically gone bad.

Yes, that's very possible..The lid on the paint can was really easy to open, so I think you're right...Would more coats help, or do I need to get a new gallon of paint??

You may be able to add a little water to the paint but I'm not 100% sure if that's the ideal way to go. The challenge will be getting it to cover evenly over the cracks. You may need to sand it down first.

The paint went on too thick and as Tony said, you'll have to sand it and repaint it.

Ok, thanks guys..Looks like I have a project for Christmas break...Is it safe to use the same paint, or should I buy a new can?

You can use the same paint. Just add some water to it to thin it down.
