Hi, I am new to using REW and was using this guide to help me get started:
Getting Started with REW: A Step-by-Step Guide v 2.8
Code:
I cannot post links yet, so maybe putting it in the code box will work:
http://www.avsforum.com/t/1449924/simplified-rew-setup-and-use-usb-mic-hdmi-connection-including-measurement-techniques-and-how-to-interpret-graphs/270#post_22823228

I am using OSX on a Macbook Pro (2010). I have a displayport to HDMI converter, and the use the HDMI to connect to my receiver.

Because I have OSX it is a bit different than the instructions in the guide, but for the most part I have been ok.

But one thing I cannot figure out how to do. The guide mentions that I can select each speaker individually. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this. I do not have that option where it shows it in the guide, and I could not find it anywhere else.

Does anyone know how to select individual speakers on the OSX version of REW?

Apple's support for JavaSound is very limited (and quite buggy), unless you can select HDMI channels outside of REW (e.g. in Audio/Midi prefs) you are probably out of luck. Probably easier to run the Windows version of REW under Parallels or Bootcamp or in a VM.

Ahh thank you. I did not realize it was not an option in the OSX version of REW.

I was hoping to avoid booting into windows, but I will if I have to.
