According to the owner's manual, your AVR has a 12V trigger output.

According to the amp manuals I listed in my previous post, each amp has a trigger input on its back panel. When connecting a trigger cable, the master power button on the amp is left in the "on" position.

And, as I indicated in my previous post, run a 1/8" mono-to-mono connection (such as this one) between the two devices.

Hope this helps. :)

According to the manual for your amp:
... A removeable plug at the 12V trigger inputRear panel view of model 7/2100A (comes with the amplifier) shall be unplugged and wired with the 12V in the correct polarity.
. . .
Setting the trigger mode switch to 12V allows thepower-on-standby function to be controlled by a12V DC voltage connected to the 12V input connector.
A quick bit of reading (including this page) appears to indicate that you have to:
- remove a plug from the back of the amp;
- clip one end off your 1/8" mono-to-mono cable; and
- connect the bare wires into the + and - terminals on the amp.

If the polarity proves to be incorrect, you then just reverse the + and - connection.

Hooked up cable per your instructions and works great. I tried to find info on this a couple of years ago on another site and no one could help. As I wasn't able to find any answers on the web I let it go. Thanks again for your knowledge and help
