LOL I really don't have a choice. It's a large open basement that sucks up bass. I have to go big fortunately and unfortunately :spend:Quad?Oh yesssssss!
I'm moving the 18's upstairs and the 24's will be in the basement. So four of these plus your two SI 18's?
It'll be several months before I have all four 24's. part of the negotiations with the Mrs were upgrades around the house first. I'm concentrating on those and having all four enclosures finished first. Those will take 6-8 weeks. Then ill start buying those beautiful 24's you haveAlrighty. Cant wait to hear your impressions with a quad set of these.![]()
It's split into quarters. The open 3 quarters total 60'Wx45'Dx9'H (found a great bargain when the housing market crashed) but it really sucks up bass. I was going with 2 more SI 18's in the section to the left of the theater section until I heard about the upcoming SI 24's :yikes: So I held up to study them and saved more...:nerd: To get a satisfying dose of those ULF signals, I don't have a choice but to go big...:spend:SO what were the dimensions of your basement?
Ya, I thought about horns but the size wouldn't be good for WAF :rolleyesno:Big or bigger with horns.
Either way 24's will be amazing. What will your L/C/R be?
 Ya...I wanted the ULF's first :bigsmile:So no Eminence coaxials?
I miss my old Quintet system I had. Would not work for my main room but that was the very first system I had. Need to get another one again for the kids or my bedroom.![]()
So no Eminence coaxials?
Hmm...?
I liked the Seas Loki MkII kit for the midbass, highs and the crossover it comes with. I'm still studying a good set up for those signals... Finding a good speaker combo to handle the 80hz up, that I can house in a enclosure I can stain, is the goal... The 5-20hz signals are the most important to me. However... I'm listening...:nerd:
Talk about slow...I know all about that as far as home theater. I gave up a couple of things to save for this project an still had to consider the WAF...smh :scratch:The eminence coaxial looks like a great buy. I am sure it is very close to the more expensive BC/Beyma products. I dont have one in front of me so I cant say for sure. I looked at getting a pair of the coaxials for surround duties myself.
Everything moves very slow for me and budget so it wont happen soon.
