I'm getting ready to start a sonosub project, and I'm wondering how many out there built their plate amp into the main tube of the sub? I've already got the plate amp, so a rack mount isn't really an option, but I'm debating weather or not to build the amp into the sub or put it in a separate box or maybe a wall mount. So... who has their plate amp built into their sonosub??? Pics would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
J

J, I think the two biggest things to consider for you are 1) your skill and comfort level, and 2) your design goals.

If you're comfortable getting a little complicated, you should have no problem attaching something to the tube (the curves can be tricky to cut and mount nicely). Accordingly, if you just want to keep it simple and don't want a big bump sticking out of your tube, you can box it, mount it in the rack with the rest of your equipment, and that should be a little easier.
