Sony STR-K1000P Audio Video Receiver high pitch sound

Hi There

I have a Sony STR-K1000P Audio Video Receiver and recently it stopped working and started outputting a high pitched humming sound when I connect the speakers. The sound does go away if I turn down the volume and will increase if I turn up the volume and is a constant humming sound. When I connect my phone to the receiver I can hear my music very quietly playing in the background however there is just the constant high pitch static sound. The receiver was working fine before and I went to play music one day and I encountered this problem. Anyone have a Sony STR-K1000P or knows what the issue is and if there is a way I can fix it?

If its making that sound on all inputs , its time to get a new reciever..Repair is a waste of time and money

Yes it does make the sound on all inputs. Do you know exactly which part of the reciever is causing this issue?
