Hi guys,

I just got my new equipment so I had to test them.

Calibrating my soundcard went thought fine. I'm using M-Audio Audiophile Firewire on MacBookPro.

After calibrating I tried to measure the frequency response of the soundcard. First I ran a 0-24kHz sweep 5,5s/256k, pretty much flat and straight. Second time I ran the same frequency range but now 10,9s/512k and weirdly I get deep drop from 100Hz. I re-ran with same justings and get the same results. So I decided to ran my first test again 5,5s/256k, resulting flat & straight.

Could someone help me out, am I doing something wrong here and which one of my test is the accurate one?

5,5s/256k

10,9s/512k

Thanks in adwance :)

ps. Sorry about the screens not being in standard scale.

REW does not allow firewire cards to be used with MACs.
Thanks for your reply brucek :)

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also get the described results with the internal soundcard on my MBP. I also tried my iMac with same results. I will try later today on my HTPC and see if it gives me the same problem.

EDIT:
I set the system on Windows Vista, at this time the results were as they should. No problem at all, none so far. Both measurements were flat straight, 256k and 512k. The problem seems to be OS X and Mac, at least on my case. If I encounter any new issues in future, I shall report them here.

Thank you all :)
