Hi people,

I have a subwoofer from 5.1 JBL 140 set which makes cracking noise when powered on. It doesn't matter if I connect a signal to it or if I increase/decrease the volume. It is enough to power it on and the noise starts. Its not always though, but very, very often. You can listen to music or watch a movie with no problem. The cracking noise is not that loud but its there.
One day it just died, no sound at all. Power is on, but no sound. I opened it up, saw that the speaker wire was unsoldered on the circuit board. I soldered it. Got sound but the cracking noise was there again.
I checked with other speaker, cables, recievers and different power plugs. I also tried changing his position. No luck at all.

I dont know what to do. I think that there is something wrong with the board but dont know why. Im no pro, i just know how to solder :)

Any suggestions what to look for?
Thank you!!

Deni
