Buy the UMIK-1 mic ( from either CSL or direct from miniDSP ) . I'll leave it to you to discover which party provides the most accurate microphone calibration file ( & whether it matters to your needs ) .

The largest advantage to buying the current darling ( piece of recommended hardware ) is that you can ( rightfully so ) expect better support from those selling it ( it's called capitalizing on being in the middle of the bell curve ) .
