I am putting a home theater in my basement. I have the fronts (Paradigm Monitor 11) and center (cc370). I have two 700 liter sonosubs (Ficar Q18) tuned to 13 hz) for my subs.

the only thing missing are my surrounds (rear and sides)....doing a 7.1 setup.

I am on a tighter budget and have been looking on craigslist for Pardigms....but not luck just yet.

Does anyone have any other brand/models that would work well with my Paradigms? (I had atoms in my previous house as surrounds and they worked fine but no luck yet finding used)

Question 2: If I go with a 7.1 setup, and I end up with a di-pole speaker, is it better to have those in rear or sides?

My theater will be 100% movies.

thanks

Hey Matt. I think, in a pinch, pretty much any speaker will do as a surround. I would suggest you keep looking for some Paradigms monitors.

As for the di-poles, my opinion you definitely want those on the sides not in the rear and directly in-line with your seating position so you are in the null.
