I have a tx-sr876 and just picked up a used HK Citation 7.1 amplifier. I was planning on using two of the channels for the left and right mains, and then bridging the other two channels for my sub. It replaced a Gallo Reference SA sub amp. It appears to work fine, except that anytime I change surround sound formats I get a thump similar to a turn on thump. Every time the relay in the receiver clicks I get the same thump. Any suggestions? The previous owner will take it back, He thought it might be a ground issue. His suggestion was to try a cheater plug. I'm not comfortable with that, being that this is a very powerful amp. At the moment the amp and receiver are connected to the same outlet, but they are connected to different surge protectors. I didn't get a thump from the old amp, and I'm not getting a thump when running the mains off of the receiver.

Any suggestions?
