just picked this Toshiba dlp model #62HM15A and it doesn't turn on the power light just flickers orange constantly and the timer rec light just says on for about 3 or 4 seconds then turns of for about 3 or 4 seconds in green and does that constantly, makes no noise, no picture on the screen, its got a new bulb, and the color wheel seems fine. I don't think the fan even turns on, I think its a power problem but what could it be? can anyone figure this out? This is my 1st projector tv so don't get to technical on me lol :help:

thanks:T

What do you mean when you say the color wheel is fine. Also where did the lamp come from?

well is spins just fine and its not damaged in anyway it was a bit dirty but i cleaned it off and i have no idea where the lamp came from they guy i bought it off of is the one that put it in
Do you hear the color wheel spin up, then slow down slightly as it locks on speed followed by the ballast firing? If so the color wheel is not a problem.

By far the most common scenario is a bad lamp, then someone buys a cheap replacement that does not work and assumes that there is a problem elsewhere. I would look at the ballast and the power supply and spy for any swollen caps, look for the spark gap arcing to tell you that the ballast is firing.

nothing happens i plug it in makes no noise what so ever i plug it in the power light starts blinking right of way and i hit the power button nothing happens no noise no picture no nothing
Sounds like a system control problem. I would start checking voltages from the power supplies and controls from the control panel.
