Hi, It sounds like your Green gun is not working, Can you see any green color at all?

We just bought a used Projection tv from a private party. One thing we have is a touch focus error. WE did the convergance, but when we do it the lines are not white, they are pinkish. We were told the TV worked fine, so not sure if we are doing something wrong. The total picture has kind of a pinkish hue! Any suggestions.

Yes we can see Green lines! We have done the convergance, and are seeing Green. And when we do the touch focus, we also see green lines. But everything is still pinkish! The lineups are not white!
Touch focus only works correctly after the television has been properly converged manually. Touch focus returns to the last properly set convergence after it has drifted. If you are seeing pink lines, it is probably because the last convergence done on the television was not done correctly.Yes we can see Green lines! We have done the convergance, and are seeing Green. I always do my convergence manually on my old warhorse 65H84. What a great old beast!

This tells me the red gun is still out of convergence. Does this model allow you to converge each color gun separately like the 65H84 does? If so, go through the blue, red, and white convergence patterns and line them up again. Post an image of a croshatch and one of a gray scale pattern so that we can see what is going on.
during touch focus the lines are supposed to be pink, at least that's what I remember from the last time I used it on my HX83. Either way it's not very good at what it does. If you know how to get into the service menu you can do a 64 point (or more) convergence alignment.
