Trying to see if there is anyway I can connect these two together and if I can I would like to know exactly what I need and how exactly to connect them.

I believe you can use RCA cables to connect the speakers to the pre-outs on the back of the receiver....

What do you have your AVR driving now? Just curious... but what wil you use the dxr15s for? I guess I typically relate speakers like that for outdoor PA work.

Your in luck, the Pioneer SC-LX901 has pre outs so all you need to get is some decent RCA-1/4" cables and your all set.

Connect the rca to the pre out of the desired channel you want to use the Yamahas on and plug that into the 1/4" input on the rear of the speaker.

You will need:
4 of these http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=7176
4 of these in the length you need http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=620
