Hi all,

Just wondering, room, around 60ft by 80ft or maybe 60ft by 60ft or 80ft by 80ft? Can't quite remember, but it has a suspended tile ceiling.

Anyway out of this choice, and these are rough WinISD estimates taking into account around 50-60 litre of bracing/driver/port displacement, what are the pro's and con's of each route?

Two 500L cabs 40"+33"+31" with two JBL GTO-1502D, each cab can take 300w with a 19.5Hz tune and 20Hz HP filter for roughly 111Db at 20Hz without over excursion of the drivers. 2x 6" by 18" ports

Or one 1000L cab, 78"+33"+21" with four JBL GTO-1502D, this can take 600w with a 19.5Hz tune and 20Hz HP filter for roughly 117Db at 20Hz without over excursion of the drivers. 4x 6" by 18" ports.

Would the two smaller cabs provide similar SPL when combined in the same room? Or would one large one provide more?

Cheers,
Steve

Go with 2 cabs. They'll be easier and lighter to move if you need to and you can seperate the 2 to even out the room response.
