Hello,

I am working with v5 beta on linux (downloaded a couple days ago). When configured to use loopback on other channel (left in this case) and with the loopback cable connecting output to line in, there is signal present on line in right side. This is visible when in check levels function and receiver is muted (no sound from speakers). With the loopback disconnected the extraneous signal goes away and things work as expected (meter shows no signal on right side except when check level tone is playing through speakers.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Thanks,

John

I have this resolved (at least appears to get through this issue)...

My Linux system is Asus P5B Deluxe based. This includes onboard audio (snd_hda_intel kernel module/Analog Devices AD1988B).

I used alsamixer to set Front gain on left channel (my loopback) to around 50. Right channel remains at 100 (max). Apparently lowering loopback source removes this "cross talk" (or whatever it is) between left/right channels.
