I have a Velodyne DD-15 coming (present) and am wondering if I'm better off equalizing it with REW + BFD or with the Velodyne equalizer setup. I don't mind the time to calibrate, so I'm wondering which of the two options is more capable. (I already have a BFD.)
Thanks in advance.

I would use the internal Velodyne EQ if there is enough control and filters for the problems that you may (or may not) have.

You first have to run REW and find out if you need EQ. Then you can see if the Velodyne EQ can do the job.

Many people simply have a single peak that is easy to remove. The BFD adds another device in the chain that has to digitize and then turn the signal back into analog. No need to use it if it's not needed.
