Attach the velvet to the outer frame members first. Then build your outer frame. Then attach your screen. There's also something called flock tape on the market that some folks use.

Another question that usually pops up is whether to use mitered corners or butt joints. I used butt joints. And I don't think anyone, including myself, has noticed since it was built over two years ago.

I don't see why you couldn't. The velvet generally looks real nice but the pro's use painted borders. :dontknow:

And you used the roof paint, huh? Must have come from avs then I guess. It will shift in color in a year or so and then you're going to want to paint it with the AAA BW. :T

In one year...when the color shifts, is it too obvious for some one without a colorimeter ? I asked Harp if I can repaint with the Henry mix again, and he said maybe...
I don't think anyone could pick up on it with the naked eye at all. While I cannot recall exactly what the numbers ended up being (Harp would probably remember better than I would), it was a drop of 3 or 4 points in one of the RGB numbers I think.

I don't see why you couldn't paint it again. We did a bit of research into that paint and it actually turned out that polyurethane was more toxic than that particular roof paint. We had someone from Proctor and Gamble check it out for us. :T
