Hi,
I'm in So. Ca, and am looking for a local person who might be selling a subwoofer. Not set on a specific brand but would be interested in anything in the midrange area, say no more than $500 but would consider higher priced models?
To be more specific, I'm in the San Gabriel Valley.

I've got a Rosewood AV123 UFW-12 subwoofer that I haven't been using. It's the much bigger brother to the UFW-10 which has been going for $400 on Audiogon. The bottom is scratched up but otherwise in good condition.

I'm located in San Jose though, which is about a 5 hour drive away. :S Shipping would kill the deal because it's so heavy.

Anyway, let me know if this is of any interest to you.

$500 would work for me. I've sent you a PM with my email and phone number. I haven't been using it because I'm currently in a 2-channel setup in this room and there's no subwoofer crossover.

In case you're unfamiliar with this subwoofer, Secrets has a review. The frequency response is basically flat from 25Hz up. I've found the driver control is very fast so its got great articulation and can go to high SPL very cleanly. The drawback is it doesn't go lower than 25Hz.

What about DIY??? ...I build a Sonosub for just $350 (I had the amp already, so add another $200-$300)

Here is the link if you want to see more SonoSub with Mach5 IXL 15"
