anyone know what
use 'transmission line' model for port simulation
setting in advanced in winISD means?
i notice i get a way different response with my 3 cu ft single 16x7cm square port 15 in sub box (basically a tl606 design from an old gallien kreuger cab i dont use)
with it checked i get 3db up at 60 hx and 3db down at 40
if i tune box to 35 hz instead of 40 its about the same with a slightly longer port but cone excursion is another mm longer...

'transmission line' is a different type of subwoofer than ported, even though they physically share some similarities. Typically the transmission line itself will be several times longer than a traditional port. They're a great way to take a smallish driver and give it more output and depth. The cabinets are quite large however. Size does matter in this case... ;)
