I noticed that there are some advanced features in Winisd which Ive not noticed before. Can someone explain what these are please as I noticed that on the tempest x2 application notes these features have been changed with different sub specs.

cheers

Ql is the system's Q at Fb due to leakage losses (sealing of the cabinet, etc.).

Qa is the system's Q at Fb due to absorption losses.

Qp is the system's Q at Fb due to port losses (turbulence, viscosity, etc.).

Sonnie,

Thanks for the reply. Do you leave these as WinISD puts them in.

Ql is 10
Qa is 100
Qp is 100

How would you go about working these out or do you just leave them as winISD put them.

cheers

That part I am not sure about.

If those are the defaults, they might be okay, but I am not certain. :dontknow:

Thanks Sonnie, no worries. I will see how the graphs look in REW. Its just something that never gets mentioned when people model subs for one and other. The only reason I noticed it was because looking at the application notes for the tempest x2 driver on the diy cable website and that they were altered for each set up.

cheers
