Curious as I have not seen too much discussion?

I have lined my 100L sub boxes with 1.5" egg crate type foam, and was thinking of adding a pillow inside each cab, guess I do not understand what sort of dampening may be required, but I did think some sort of dampening was usefull?

How do you work out what type and how much internal dampening a sub may require?

Cheers,
Steve

In general, 16 ounces of fill per cubic foot of enclosure volume is considered 100% fill. The foam and the pillow are both types of fill.

You only fill in sealed subs. In ported subs you can line, but be careful or you will kill the resonance needed for the port.
