I'm in Grande Prairie. The big name places like Home Depot and Rona don't carry any sonotube larger than 12". I need 24".

Rona can special order it for me, but they can't tell me which brand it is or how sturdy it is. Can anyone tell me if there is somewhere that has the stuff in stock so that I can look at it before buying ?

Agreed, a place that does footings/pilings would be a good place to look for.

Just got back from vacation, so the build is now beginning.

Located sonotube brand from Home Hardware. They have up to 60" ! They were even nice enough to true it up and cut it for me to my required lengths with 1/8" accuracy.

Yes sir, and the 24" actually measures 24" to within an 1/8".

They phoned back and told me they decided they were not going to cut it as they didn't feel they could do it accurately enough, so instead they delivered the 12" length for free.

Not sure how I'm going to go about cutting it yet. I have skill saw, miter saw, plunge router. No Jig saw,

Oh and an electric turkey carver. I might have a handsaw as well. I might try using the skill saw with some sort of guide.
