I will have about 700 and want to buy a good amp that will last me. I am looking to drive 4 12"subs that can handle 400 RMS. I was checking out the qsc rmx2450, but I am not sure. I have a samson s convert ready to go.

Take a look at a oldie but goodie:) Carver M-1.5-350w per channel RMS and able to jump to 1200w for peak passages. It will take mulitaple speakers 2 to 32 Ohm. Can be had pretty cheap to!

I second the Carver idea, but would suggest the M-1.0t. It's rated at 200W (rumoured to match the CJ prem 5 it's transfer modified to) but will do 360W RMS. It's a real sleeper of an amp, and usually goes for less than the 1.5 because of the lower power rating

You know I will second that M-1.0t as it can be bridged and if you up-grade it to MKII op2 it will put out 1020w into single channel 8ohms and even more into 4ohms!
