Hi.
I am having a go at building an IB, for now to get me going and whilst funds are a tad low, I am going to use 2 x IB3 18", to power these I am looking at using a Behringer EP4000.
I have been asked which coil size I required, 2 ohm or 4 ohm.
Can I get away with 2 ohm coils for now whilst I just use 2 IB's, or do they need to be 4ohm?

your getting 2 subs, so with 2 ohm coils you can have a 4 ohm load, which is perfect for most amps. That said, 4 ohms coils mean you can run a 2 ohm load which berrys are happy with. To be honest, given you will have either 2 or 4 drivers, and be using an amp that can drive any load from 2 ohms up, and do it into 2 channels, which ever you get your IB will be powered just fine.

Cheers Dan, it's all being a bit of a learning curve for me, so all the help/advice I can get is truly welcome
