Good day...I recently purchased a home that has several rooms with in ceiling wired speakers which all lead back to a central location in the basement. If I want to just stream Apple Music from any Apple device in the home what would I require to achieve this? I have been told that I could get 2 multizone receivers that are Airplay 2 compatible like Yamaha and I could run the music via Yamaha app to control the zones and volume. I would likely want to have 4 or 5 separate zones (kitchen/dining, gym, backward, bedroom and family room) where music can be played independently in each zone or some zones combined.

Five zones with independent control is a really complicated system. You should consult a specialist like Home Theater Direct.

Let me rephrase my thoughts. I have 3 zones on the main floor so couldn’t I just get a receiver that has multiple zones that can stream with airplay 2? And repeat the same for the other 2 zones which are in the master bedroom? Wouldn’t need to amalgamate the main floor and master bedroom to play the same music. So two receivers both with multizones with AirPlay 2. Seems logical?

Wayne is right. You probably should consult a professional. It's not as simple as it seems. Sounds like you would need a 3zone plus a 2zone receiver. This gets pricey and is a bit archaic. For diy solutions you could look at Yamaha Musiccast amps or Sonos. Much more elegant solution and cost would be comparable to your 5 zones of receivers. Good luck!

You probably want the two receivers to be different brands, to avoid conflict with the remote controls. You may also need outboard amplifiers.

Not sure what Apple devices are comparable, but I accomplished this with 5 Chromecast Audios. I just decided how I wanted the zones split, and connected the speaker wires accordingly. The Google Home app lets you manage the zone playback. It's really simple, and the best part is that I can max and match any audio hardware in want with this setup.

Couple questions.
-What is your budget?
-Do the rooms with speakers also have in-wall volume controls?
-Have you looked into the Sonos Port? One of very few companies that support Apple Music with distributed audio.
-If you go the Multi-zone AVR route, know most manufactures have a hardware setting to run a second set of remote codes to avoid cross talk. Stick with the same manufacture so you can have a shot a using one phone app for control.

I will check back for the answers. If you have floor plans or wiring schematic those would be helpful too.
