Will porting or venting work

I am installing a BOSS Audio BOSS600 powered low profile sub in the side hard side saddlebag of a 2004 Harley Electraglide. If I mount the sub to the inside of the bag can I cut a hole vent out sound?

As long as the hole is the same size as the woofer.
